Check payment status and download the GST invoice
Where the invoice lives, and how to get your GSTIN on it.
Safety level: informational · Time: about 4 minutes · Level: beginner
Every order can be invoiced with GST. Here is where to find it and how to make sure your GSTIN is on it.
Applies to
All orders. The GSTIN part matters if you are claiming input tax credit.
Get your GSTIN onto the invoice
The invoice is generated from what the account held at the time of the order. Adding a GSTIN afterwards does not retrospectively change an invoice that has already been raised.
- Before ordering, put your GSTIN on the account under Business details, or enter it at checkout when prompted.
- If you need a purchase-order reference on the invoice, add it in the order notes at checkout.
Download it
- Go to My orders and open the order.
- Choose Invoice. It downloads as a PDF.
- The invoice shows the item lines, the tax split, the total, and the serial numbers of any items that carry them.
Expected result
A GST invoice with your business name, your GSTIN, the item lines and the tax breakdown — the document your finance team needs.
If it does not work
- No invoice button yet — invoices are raised on confirmation, not on placement. An order awaiting payment has none.
- GSTIN missing from the invoice — it was not on the account when the order was placed. Contact us with the order number; whether it can be reissued depends on when the order was raised.
- Serial numbers missing — not every product carries one. Where a product has a serial, it is recorded against the invoice line, which is what makes a later warranty claim straightforward.
Why the serial number matters
A warranty claim is much easier when the invoice ties a specific serial to a specific line. Keep the invoice; it is the proof of purchase every manufacturer asks for first.

- Request a written quotation and turn it into an order — For business purchases, the quotation is what the invoice will be raised against.
